RCS EMPLOYEES: School Board policy permits RCS employees to obtain a zone exemption to the school where they work, or into a nearby feeder school if the grade level needed for their child is not available in the school where they work. This applies to both certified and classified employees. Certified employees do not need to reapply each year unless their child is ready to progress to the next school. Classified employees must apply each year. When applying through the Scribbles platform, employees must select that they are an employee in order for the application to be processed as an employee exemption request. Please note, pursuant to School Board policy, employees who live out of county are not eligible for slots at schools without a zone, including Central Magnet School, Holloway High School, Homer Pittard Campus School, McFadden School of Excellence and Thurman Francis Arts Academy. If an employee works at one of these schools and lives out of county, they may obtain an exemption to a nearby traditional school.
